Editing your profile

Profiles in the Proto AICX platform are equivalent to employee biographies in a contact centre.

General info

To edit your own profile on Proto's AICX platform, click the profile icon and select Profile. Under the GENERAL tab, you can edit the following information:

  • Avatar
  • Name
  • Timezone (platform)
  • Language (platform)
  • Password
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA)

📘

Note

The Timezone setting controls the display of time & date filtering across the AICX platform. Make sure the timezone is set to your local time to avoid confusion.

To enable two-factor authentication, click the toggle beside Enable 2FA.

A popup will appear. Click ENABLE on the popup, and wait for the verification code to be sent via email. Enter the verification code to enable 2FA.

❗️

Important

Make sure the email address you used to sign up for the AICX platform is valid, because the 2FA verification code will be sent to this email address every time you log in.

Aliases

An alias is an alternative name users may use in the AICX platform. Specifically, an alias is useful for agents to chat with customers without having to use their private account name.

In the ALIASES tab, click CREATE ALIAS.

A popup will appear. Upload your avatar and enter the display name, then click CREATE.

You can then set the new alias as the default identity for your profile by ticking the checkbox for Set as default.

Edit or Delete an alias by hovering your mouse over the alias. Click the pencil icon to edit and the trash icon to delete.

Personal access token

A personal access token allows users to implement Proto's RESTful APIs in external web applications. Proto's APIs require a X-SINITIC-TOKEN to send a request to the AICX platform.

To generate the personal access token, go to the API tab and click ISSUE NEW TOKEN.

👍

Best practice

Once you issue a new personal access token, the old access token will no longer be valid. You will need to update all Proto APIs with the newly issued access token. This task should be handled by a software developer for AICX deployments with multiple integrations.
